New to Grace?
altGreetings! Whether you're a seeker in search of truth, a prodigal returning to faith, or a new member of the community looking for a church, we invite you to be our guest at Grace. Here, we seek to embody the love and grace of God and to live by His word. This means open arms and an open Bible. Grace is a hospital for sinners, a home for spiritual maturity, and an outpost for touching the world.

Since coming to Grace in 2001, I have truly grown to love and appreciate our church and the challenge of the Washington, DC region. Many of our congregation are military or government employees who are only here for 2-4 years. Therefore, we take seriously the task of helping new people connect to our congregation. Our Director of Outreach is dedicated to helping you and your family find your place at Grace.

Our desire is to be a church where God transforms lives. We strive for relevant biblical teaching; passionate worship; deep and lasting friendships; consistent prayer; and heartfelt ministry. So whether you are coming to church for the first time or you have been in church your entire life, come and join us as we grow together in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

May God bless you and keep you as you seek Him,
Pastor Tim

Weekends at Grace

Where is Grace?

When are your worship services?

What should I wear to a worship service?

Wear what is comfortable to you! Grace is a "come as you are" church. Jeans and ties are equally welcomed.

Do I have to bring a Bible?

Grace has Bibles available for use during each worship service and Bible study which you are welcome to borrow. If you would like to have a Bible of your own, please stop by the Welcome Desk and we will provide one to you..

Does Grace have childcare?

Not only does Grace have trained, loving nursery care for the little ones, we have multiple activities available for your elementary aged children. We value the safety and care of your children and we have measures in place to protect them. For preschool children in Building A, you will be asked to wear a wristband that matches the one which is placed on your child, this will enable only you to pick them up at the end of a worship service, adult small group, etc. Additionally, if a nursery volunteer needs to contact you during the worship service, the number on your wristband will appear on the screen at the front of the auditorium.

Children are always welcomed in adult worship services. As a matter of fact, we believe it is important for our families to worship together. Preschoolers can stay in Sunday school while parents worship and attend adult small groups. Elementary children attend worship with their parents and choose one Sunday school hour to attend while their parents are in small group.

As a first-time guest, what do you have for me?

Plan to come a few minutes early so that we can meet you and take you to your destination. It's especially important to allow extra time if you have children with you. We will help you get them registered and to their assigned rooms. Please stop by the Welcome Desk in the worship center foyer so we can meet. We will want to give you a gift and a Welcome Packet, which includes information about all our ministries and the Grace staff.  Also included is a copy of our e-newsletter which gives details of each week’s activities for all ages. We ask that first-time guests complete a card with contact information so that we can send you a note the following week. You will not be recognized publicly as a guest, but we do want to contact you to offer a personal welcome and to answer any questions.

Will I be asked to give money?

Offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who call Grace their home.  We teach and believe in Biblical stewardship.  For guests, your presence is a gift to us. At Sunday worship services, an offering plate is passed at the end of the service. On Saturday nights, there is a box where people can place their offerings.
