Senior Pastor

Pastor Tim grew up in East Tennessee where his father worked for the Army. The church where he spent his formative years was Wallace Memorial Baptist, named for the missionary to China, Bill Wallace. WMBC emphasized reaching people In preparation for ministry, Pastor Tim attended Carson Newman College and Southwestern Seminary. He served part time in music, youth and children's work while in college and seminary. His first full time position was Minister of Youth and Education at a Ft. Lauderdale church (1988-1992). He then served as senior pastor of Miami Shores Baptist Church in Miami, Florida from 1992-2001. Miami Shores was an international church with many of the challenges of urban ministry. In 2001 Pastor Tim moved to Grace Baptist Church in Woodbridge, VA. His wife Patti is from the Atlanta area and they have three children. "I have attended and served in many kinds of churches and I am particularly interested in how the truth of God's word, compassion, and love impact the culture of a church and the lives within. What a great honor to serve in the Washington DC area and see lives transformed by God's grace."

Executive Pastor

Kirk has been a member at Grace Baptist Church since 1998. After several years of feeling God's call to move into full-time ministry, he became Executive Pastor here at Grace in 2007. He has been active in discipleship, teaching, and church planning as a lay person since graduating from college in 1980. Prior to becoming a pastor at Grace, Kirk was a systems engineer working in space systems in both the Air Force (retired in 1996) and at Aerospace Corporation. Kirk grew up in a small town in South Carolina. He has a B.S. from Clemson University and a M.S. from the Air Force Institute of Technology, both in Electrical Engineering. Kirk and his wife Julie have been married for over 29 years and have four children, Chad, Kyle, Sarah, and Janelle.

Worship Pastor

Marc and his wife, Cyndi, began their ministry at Grace in June of 2002. They view worship as a transformational activity that impacts every aspect of their lives. Sharing that perspective as they encourage and equip people to serve is foundational to their ministry. Before serving at Grace, Marc was Minister of Music and Youth at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, IN. He also served as Minister of Music at Oakland Baptist Church in Oakland, KY before that. Marc's ministry has been influenced both by the great people God has brought into his life and the places he has taken him to. Included in this is his time at Western Kentucky University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Marc has similar expectations as he pursues his doctorate at Webber Institute of Worship Studies. In June 2010, Marc and Cyndi met the most important person in their lives (besides Christ) when their daughter, Miriam Grace was born. They are continually surprised by God's goodness!

Student Pastor

Kevin arrived at Grace Baptist Church in July 2004 and he is still excited about the movement that God is demonstrating in Grace as a church body and within the student ministry. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Public Speaking. In 2001, earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Texas in Arlington. Kevin has served the past thirteen years as a minister to middle school, high school, and college students. Kevin also brings 8 years of teaching experience in the public school system with him to Grace. Kevin and his wife Krista were married in 1993 and have two children, Logan and Kaitlyn.

Small Groups Pastor

Joe was born and raised in New York (Brooklyn & Long Island). He moved to Daytona Beach when he was 21 years old to attend college. His journey with Christ began during these college years. He is married to Sonya and they have three children; Joshua, Seth and Gabriela. Joe completed his undergraduate degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida and his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary in Raleigh, North Carolina. He enjoys spending time outdoors camping or riding his bike, but most of all he enjoys coaching his sons' baseball team. Joe began his ministry here at Grace in July of 2011 after having served at churches in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Joe’s passion is to lead people to grow in their journey of becoming disciples and to help them connect with others. He whole heartedly believes that small groups are the greatest place for this to happen.

Director of Outreach

Dorothy joined the Grace Baptist staff in August of 2011. She grew up in the suburbs of Northern California just outside of San Francisco and worked for many years in the field of veterinary medicine as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She also trained and competed in the Olympic equestrian sport of Three-day Eventing. Dorothy accepted Christ in 1981 but did not make Him Lord of her life until 1998. She then followed his call into ministry in 1999 and served in ministry for five years at McLean Bible Church until 2005 when she left to attend Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. While there she completed an internship with First Baptist Church in discipleship and pastoral care. She received her Master of Divinity degree in April 2011. Dorothy desires to see all people come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord of their lives and realize their unique calling to ministry and be transformed to serve the church and the world as they live the abundant life.

Director of Children's Ministry

Nancy comes to us from Bowling Green, KY. Nancy received her B.S. degree in Communications Disorders in 1992 from Western Kentucky University. She acknowledged her call into ministry in 1996 while attending a convention for children's pastors. Before coming to Grace, Nancy served for many years at Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green. At Bowling Green she transitioned from a volunteer nursery coordinator (1993), to a part-time position as the preschool ministry assistant (1998), and then a full time position as a preschool minister (2000). When Nancy accepted the full time position at Hillvue, it marked the beginning of many children’s ministry experiences as she led many activities in a fast-paced growing church. Along with this varied background Nancy brings an exuberance and expectation of seeing children grow and develop into Christ followers. Nancy passionately believes that ministering to children is a partnership with parents to be the hands and feet of Christ for a child. She desires to see others work and grow together in the community of faith to serve and care and love children. Nancy believes that to "play" in the name of Jesus is some of the most rewarding and challenging work you can do in the community of faith.
