Helping Hands of Grace (HHOG) |
We help meet the physical and spiritual needs of area homeless people in 3 ways:
- Winter Shelter (operated by Prince William County, near the PRTC Transit Center): Each Friday
evening from November-March, volunteers bring guests from the Winter Shelter to GBC for a meal,
Bibles, devotionals, and personal items.
- Drop-In Center (operated by Cooperative Council of Ministries, same location as Winter Shelter):
From April-October the Center provides access to showers, restrooms, and a light meal before and
after typical work hours several days a week. We take meals on Tuesday evenings.
- Hilda Barg Homeless Prevention Ctr (on Jeff Davis Highway): Temporary residence to families and
single adults. In January and July, we provide meals for 3 consecutive days.
