Vocal Ensembles

There are several ways in which adults may develop their gifts and calling to serve with vocal music. Vocal Worship Teams

Every Vocal Worship Team members' goal is to enhance the worship experience of people who attend one of Grace's contemporary worship venues. Team members are chosen on the basis of their faith maturity, ability to blend, ability to harmonize by ear, ability to learn new music quickly, and ability to commit to regular and special rehearsal times. Generally, members are also chosen based upon their participation in one of the other larger vocal ensembles.

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir is the larger choir which primarily provides worship leadership in the Sunday 11:05 am service. Everyone is welcome to join this group. Even if you attend one of the contemporary worship venues, you can participate in the Worship Choir! Several times a year, this group combines with members of Grace's other vocal music groups for special seasonal productions and worship times. Rehearsals are Wednesday evening in the Music Suite from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Measure of Grace

Measure of Grace is the smaller vocal ensemble which provides frequent worship leadership in any of Grace's weekend worship venues. This group sings contemporary, jazz, and a capella music of various styles. Participation in this group is based upon the ensemble's current personnel needs and an interview to discover an individual's ability and availability.

Praise Band

The Grace Praise Band is a group of singers and players who lead worship during the 5:30 pm Saturday, 8:15 am Sunday, and 9:40 am Sunday worship services. These individuals are both highly skilled and highly committed. They are dedicated to a team concept in everything they do, from the sounds they make to the extra rehearsals and worship opportunities which constantly present themselves. Positions for players or worship team vocalists open up from time to time as needed. Orchestra

Grace Orchestra plays every week for the 11:05 am worship service. God has allowed us to have a greater impact on the whole body of Grace through playing some in the Contemporary worship services. In addition to joining the Praise Band and Grace Music singers for special events, the Orchestra presents a Memorial Day Orchestra concert on the Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend. The beauty of Grace Orchestra is the diversity of both the age and talent level of the players AND the styles of music we play. We have been blessed with more players this year, but we always need more, so if you play a band or orchestra instrument, please give us a try! Youth Creative Ministries

YCM has been blessed this year with more adult helpers and MANY more Middle School Students! As a result our enrollment and average attendance is the largest it has ever been. To join YCM you need to be a Middle or High School student who likes to worship, sing, or act. These students meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 – 6 pm in the Music Suite. Those who like to act may audition for sketches which are performed throughout the year during Wednesday night Student worship times. Everyone learns both contemporary and traditional songs which are used to lead during Student worship times as well as Grace Sunday Morning worship times. This group also takes a mission trip the first week of summer to a venue which allows them to lead others in worship. Kidz Music

All children ages 1st grade through 5th grade are invited to Grace KIDZ Music. The focus of this group is to teach kids about worship using singing, acting and some instrument playing. The children share what they learn once a semester in the Sunday morning worship times. They also participate in the Christmas Concerts of Worship as well as their own special spring-time worship event. This group conveniently rehearses from 4:45 – 5:45 pm on Wednesday afternoons between school and the Family Supper time in the Grace Fellowship Hall.
