God Working at Grace Posted on: Thursday, 22 March 2012
God Working through Appalachia Missions
Our Easter Appalachian missions offering was very successful, resulting in over $10,000 in “seed money” to begin to implement some of our projects in the Appalachian area. At the end of March, our Grace Appalachian Missions Team traveled to the area and was able to meet with Pastor Darrell Hunley, and the directors of the Bland Ministry Center, to gather information on how we could best respond to the needs of the area. During that trip our team provided funds to purchase a new, easier to operate scale for the food distribution center. Funded by our missions offering, our next steps are to begin planning with the Bland Ministry Center to bring donated clothing and underwear. We have arranged with Pastor Hunley for the Grace Appalachian Missions Team to pay for internet installation and assist with grant proposals to receive internet training for the community, to provide funds for the purchase of Bible school materials and to provide the funds and a construction team to complete a roof installation project. All of this is possible through God’s grace and your generous support of Grace Appalachian Missions.
| June Body Life Meeting and Town Halls Posted on: Thursday, 17 May 2012
Join us for Body Life and Town Halls
We encourage all those who attend Grace to be in prayer for God’s will for our church and what He would have us do next. Our ministry leaders have been preparing their Ministry Plans and budgets for next year (FY13). The FY13 Ministry Plan and Budget, including covenant leadership FY13, will be presented to the Body at the June Body Life (Sun., June 3, 6:30 pm in the Worship Center). It is important that all covenant members attend. To make sure that everyone has an opportunity to review, understand and provide inputs and comments, we will have 2 Town Hall meetings prior to the Body Life:
· Sunday, May 27, 6:30 pm, Worship Center
· Tuesday, May 29, 11:00 am, Fellowship Hall
Please continue to pray and seek God's will in preparation for these decisions

| Join Our Prayer Teams Posted on: Thursday, 17 May 2012
Join a Prayer Team
Our desire is to have Prayer Teams in our Prayer Room during each worship service to intercede for Pastor Tim and all who serve in and attend the worship service. These teams are available for anyone who comes into the Prayer Room looking for prayer, and to lead in prayer those who wish to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are looking for all ages - from Youth to Senior Adult -- to serve on a Prayer Team. Training/orientation is provided and there are many resources available in the Prayer Room to assist in praying fruitfully. Our greatest need right now is people who can fill our teams for the Sat. 5:30 pm and Sun. 8:15 am and 9:40 am services. We ask that you commit to at least one service per month. To volunteer or to ask questions contact the church office at 703-670-5032.

You can also use this page to sign up for the PLACE class which helps you to understand how God has uniquely called you to serve Him.
The page is accessible from our website by clicking on the “Serving” tab located along the top of the home page. If you have any questions regarding our “serving opportunities” page or PLACE class, please contact Dorothy Hammon at

You are invited to come to the center on Saturday, May 26, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and meet veteran volunteers who can discuss with you the center’s desire to recruit volunteers to expand its education programs, Bible studies, sexual integrity programs, and to assist with seminars, and local and national events. Bilingual volunteers are needed. There will be food, prizes and lots of information at the Open House.
