We continue to see our students bring their friends to worship. We continue to see students find Grace and DRIVEN Student Ministry as their place of worship and connection. And, we have seen students come to faith. This third “God Thing” is the focus of the article.
Student ministry leadership prays for God to draw more students into a relationship with Him and for our students to be included in that redeeming work. Student ministry leadership includes the student pastor, student ministry staff, student leaders, adult leaders, and student ministry servants. We desire to see Grace and DSM be a place where students and their families are redeemed and connected to a growing congregation. We are watching that happen!
At The STATION, student midweek worship, on February 15th, two young women came to faith. It was a time of celebration as a line formed of people wanting to pray and be saved. There was a moment of blessing when both of the young women, through separate conversations, acknowledged that they were asking Jesus to forgive them of their sins, be the Boss of their lives, and for Him to live in their hearts. To add a little more celebration to the moment, one student responded to a question about her connection to small group and growing in her faith with, “I am gonna be in one now!” Both students are from the same grade and have incredible adults who can mentor and disciple them in their new faith.
