Are you a mother of children ages birth to kindergarten?
Then you belong in MOPS!
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS provides an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. We share our experiences, learn from one another, and support each other. We desire to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. We reach out to each individual mother of preschoolers, no matter where she has been, what she has done or how she is choosing to live her life today, embracing both believers and non-believers and all ethnic and socio-economic groups.
WHAT DO WE DO?
A typical MOPS meeting includes a time of sharing food and conversation followed by a presentation of information relevant to mothers raising preschoolers. Discussion topics such as childrearing, marriage, relationships, cooking, and homemaking are presented from a biblical perspective. Sometimes we complete an easy creative activity to be taken home. At each meeting, there is time for small discussion groups to interact, thus allowing time for deepening of friendships and individual growth.
WHEN DO WE MEET?
We meet from 9:45am - 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall at Grace Baptist Church. Group A meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Group B meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. MOPS runs between the months of September and May.
IS THERE CHILDCARE PROVIDED?
Childcare during all meetings is provided through the MOPPETS program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment for your child(ren) to play and learn while you attend the MOPS meeting and get a well deserved break! MOPPETS enrollment for each child from birth through kindergarten is included as part of the dues paid for each semester you participate in MOPS. Moms are asked to serve twice a semester in MOPPETS on the Tuesdays opposite their regular MOPS meeting day.
